Summertime Sparkle Pageant hosted in Alma

ALMA, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — The city of Alma welcomed Arkansans to a morning of sparkle, grace, and sheer elegance.

Grace Church on East Main Street had girls up to 19 years old competing for a crown in the Summertime Sparkle Pageant on Sunday.

AAA Pageantry held a dazzling display of beauty, talent, and charisma as young ladies strutted down the stage in their summertime outfits.

“It takes confidence to walk across the stage and that every participant will head home with a sash and a crown,” AAA Pageantry Director Ashley Alexander said. “It’s Summertime Sparkle, so we will do that outfit first and we will be calling that their outfit of choice, and then the participants will do their beauty second.”

Alexander also said that there will be more opportunities every month for your child to sign up and compete in pageants.

The next pageant will be at the King Opera House in Van Buren on August 11.
