32-year-old allegedly places false 911 call, arrested and jailed
Around 9:30 a.m. on July 9, 2024, officers responded to a shots fired call at Georgian Woods Apartments. When they arrived, however, they found out it was a false alarm. According to a report from the Douglas Police Department, officers arrived on the scene and didn’t notice anything out of the way. A maintenance crew told police that they were remodeling an apartment. Just before they got there, an individual identified as Markease Robinson, 32, ran out of the apartment yelling that someone was shooting at him. The workers said that no one was supposed to be in the apartment.
