Kramer Fireworks celebrates 10 year anniversary
NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) - With the Fourth of July holiday on Thursday, many are stocking up on fireworks to celebrate, and firework sales have increased across North Platte. Kramer Fireworks has been selling fireworks for ten years and has become one of the largest fireworks stores in the area. To celebrate, the store is doing a bingo card to not only shop at their store but also other fireworks stores across North Platte and to partake in social media challenges. The winner will receive a special fireworks bundle from Kramer Fireworks. The store itself has come a long way from where it started back in 2014, according to owner Mitzi Kramer.

South Dakota’s top prospect commits to Nebraska
The top prospect in the state of South Dakota has committed to the Nebraska Cornhuskers. Shawn Hammerbeck is a 6-foot-6, 260-pound offensive lineman for Winner High School in Winner, SD. Hammerbeck selected the Husker over Kansas State, Minnesota, and Texas Tech. Reports have Nebraska looking at the offensive lineman as a tackle, although he has been identified as a possible defensive lineman. Nebraska first offered the recruit in the spring and hosted him on an official visit in April. He would then return in June on an official visit before committing to the Cornhuskers on July 3rd. Northwestern Media Makes Series Of Promotions In Kansas City & Omaha
University of Northwestern – St. Paul’s Northwester Media has announced a number of promotions at its stations in Kansas City and Omaha. The moves start with “Life 88.5” KJNW Kansas City General Manager Dave Gordon and “Life 100.7” KGBI-FM Omaha Station Manager Suzanne Happs rising to Senior Directors of Media Markets for the company. U.S. Coast Guard to host free concert at Lied Center
