Buffalo Animal Shelter hosting a reduced-fee adoption event this weekend
BUFFALO, N.Y. — The City of Buffalo Animal Shelter is holding a reduced-fee adoption event on Saturday. Fees are about $100 for dogs and $65 for cats, according to their Facebook post. It includes spay or neuter, vaccines, a bag of pet food, and a free first vet visit.

Jamestown Woman Sentenced on Drug Charge
U.S. Attorney Trini Ross announced Friday that 28-year-old Brandi Whitford of Jamestown was sentenced to time served and three years probation by U.S. District Judge Lawrence Vilardo. Whitford was convicted of maintaining a drug-involved premises. Assistant U.S. Attorney Joshua Violanti, who handled the case, stated that between September 2019 and October 23, 2019, Whitford and co-defendant Richard Kinsey, Jr. used a residence at 320 Newland Avenue in Jamestown to manufacture, distribute, and use methamphetamine. On September 6, 2019, investigators executed a search warrant at the residence, recovering three firearms. A fourth firearm was thrown from the residence during the execution of the search warrant. Investigators also recovered methamphetamine, approximately $12,045 in cash, assorted ammunition, and drug paraphernalia. Co-defendant Richard Kinsey was previously convicted.
