McDonald's Golden Grants Applications are Open to Educators & Individuals with Activities Benefitting Florida Students
Florida educators and individuals who represent programs and organizations serving K-12 students are invited to apply for this year's McDonald's Golden Grants. The applications opened up on August 8 and will be accepted until September 9, 2022.
The Awards
Golden Grants are 27 awards totaling $100,000 to help students reach their full potential.
Three grants awarded in the amount of $10,000
Seven grants awarded in the amount of $5,000
Twelve grants awarded in the amount of $2,500
Five grants awarded in the amount of $1,000
Golden Grants are funded by Florida McDonald's Owners/Operators.

Who Qualifies
Golden Grants are open to certain activities that impact the imagination, education, and growth of local students. To qualify, applicants must demonstrate a need for the grant. Applicants must submit an itemized budget for their program, initiative or organization to be considered.
Qualifying activities include the following:
Arts Activities
Education Initiatives
COVID-19 Relief-Related Efforts
Mentorship and Empowerment Programs
After-School programs
Community Service
Sports Activities
Technology
The grant must be used within 12 months of winning the award.

The form to apply is easy and web-based. As long as each space is filled applicants' causes will be considered. Those running deserving activities should apply.
One application per program/initiative/organization will be accepted.

A fantastic example of a deserving cause that was awarded $10,000 is the Green Devil's Pantry & Closet at Saint Petersburg High School.
