Emergency Responders dispatched to single vehicle accident at mouth of Swift Creek Canyon
At roughly 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 23, emergency responders in Afton were dispatched to the mouth of Swift Creek Canyon on 2nd Avenue. Afton Police Chief Jason Romberg said a driver suffered a medical incident while driving out of the canyon, causing his vehicle to leave the road and hit a tree. Romberg said the driver was transported by ambulance to Star Valley Health for treatment, stating that he sustained no serious injuries from the accident itself. There were additional occupants in the vehicle, non of which sustained any serious injuries in the incident, according to Romberg.

Wildfire smoke prompts red/unhealthy air quality warning
The Idaho Department of Environmental Quality issued a red/unhealthy air quality advisory for Tuesday and Wednesday because of continued and worsening wildfire smoke in the Treasure Valley. Hot Days In Forecast For Southeast Wyoming Residents
