The Minds Behind Silverlake Wine To Open Two New Concepts in Altadena

Good Neighbor Bar and the adjoining Altadena Wine shop are coming to 2311 Lincoln Ave, Altadena , according to a post on Reddit from earlier this year. The new concepts come from April Langford and Randy Clement , partners in both love and business who own several other wine stores and restaurants throughout L.A., including the incredibly popular Silverlake Wine.

Langford and Clement first opened Silverlake Wine in 2004, a boutique shop offering a number of different varietals ranging from esoteric to affordable, as well as tastings. The store has since grown to include Everson Royce Wine & Spirits in Pasadena which opened in 2012, and an additional Silverlake Wine and Everson Royce Bar in the Arts District in 2015. The pair then went on to open Triple Beam Pizza and Hippo with Michelin-starred chef Matt Molina in 2018, and Vamos Vamos, a nacho and margarita bar, in 2022.

Now, with their two new concepts in Altadena, the couple has their sights set on the neighborhood they call home. Altadena Wine promises to offer fine wine, spirits, beer and tastings. Not much is known about Good Neighbor Bar yet, but if it’s anything like Langford and Clement’s other bars, it’s sure to be a good time with great food and drinks.

An opening date for Good Neighbor Bar and Altadena Wine has not yet been announced.
