Disguised individuals with cameras have been seen recently recording video of residents in Glendale and Montrose at businesses on Honolulu Avenue. Calling themselves “First Amendment auditors,” the individuals claim they are exercising their First Amendment rights and have been seen taking photos or recording video of people in public or public spaces such as libraries, police stations, sidewalks and parking lots.

Since 2019, State Water Board has distributed over $1 billion in grants for drinking water projects in disadvantaged communities. During this time, the number of people served by failing water systems has fallen from 1.6 million to 700,000 – a net gain of 900,000 more Californians who now have safe and affordable drinking water.

High temperatures on Tuesday will peak from the 102-110-degree range, with downtown Sacramento expected to reach 109 degrees. The average for this time of year is 95 degrees.

A scheme designed to defraud music fans and investors involving counterfeit concerts and artist engagements has ended with the sentencing of two culprits. Terronce Morris was sentenced to 57 months in federal prison on charges of mail and wire fraud conspiracy, along with aggravated identity theft, according to a press release from the United States Attorney's Office for the Southern District of Florida.
