Governor Hochul needs to declare a Climate Emergency
On Wednesday, Governor Kathy Hochul stood outside of a church in Rome, NY for a press conference to declare a State of Emergency after the storm system that produced Hurricane Beryl passed through the state and left scars of destruction in communities like the Town of Eden. During the event, she noted the destruction of the roof and steeple behind her were part of a wider path of destruction that hit the city and the surrounding area and tornado warnings were posted from Jamestown to Plattsburgh.
