Linkin Park recently announced a short world tour which will see several arena shows across the world between September and November this year. The tour starts at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles on September 11th. Other stops include New York, Germany, London, South Korea and Colombia. Ahead of the show in The Forum, Joe Hahn has posted some pictures from the band rehearsal, showing Emily Armstrong maintains her status as the band’s lead singer. You can see the photos below. Chester Bennington’ son Jaime has been criticizing the band and Mike Shinoda recently, and requested tickets for the LA concert from Shinoda, as seen in a DM on Instagram he posted.

Linkin Park returned from hiatus after the tragic loss of their iconic frontman, Chester Bennington, in 2017. They recently unveiled a new single titled “The Emptiness Machine” from their upcoming album From Zero . This marks the band’s first release of new music in several years.

The band performed in a live stream event. However, fans quickly noticed the absence of two core members , guitarist Brad Delson and drummer Rob Bourdon during the performance. Former Dead Sara frontwoman Emily Armstrong was also introduced as the new vocalist replacing Chester Bennington. Guitarist Alex Feder stepped in to fill Brad Delson’s role on stage.

However, the addition of Emily Armstrong to the band garnered mixed reactions from the fans and Mike Shinoda has also addressed the same. Meanwhile, she has received support from Chester’s widow, Talinda Bennington. She seemingly approved of the band’s choice to replace Chester.

But, Chester’s son, Jamie Bennington launched a scathing attack.

“You quietly erased my father’s life and legacy in real time… during international prevention month and refusing to acknowledge the impact of hiring someone like Emily, without so much as a clarifying statement on the variety of victims that make up your core fan base,” Jaime said.

He added, “You betrayed the trust loaned to you by decades of fans and supporting human beings including myself. We trusted you to be the bigger, better person. To be the change. Because you promised us that was your intention. Now you’re just senile and tone deaf.”

Shinoda has stated that the shows will feature a setlist that is over two hours in length and production that took the band a long time to figure it out and perfect. He is excited & thankful that the presales have been popular with LPU fans.
