Eddie Vedder Gets Dinner With The Office Star

Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder often comes to Boston and he’s been known to hang out with Red Sox adviser Theo Epstein. It turns out he has another friend with longtime Boston ties. It’s none other than ‘The Office’ actor John Krasinski. However, an outlet made a blunder while dropping the news.

In the picture above Krasinski, who is a Boston native, posed for a photo with 1928 manager Jordan McCusker, as well as a group of college girls outside the eatery.

Eddie Vedder and John Krasinki spotted together

Krasinski was indeed spotted with Vedder. They grabbed dinner at 1928 Restaurant in Beacon Hill on Saturday night before Vedder and Pearl Jam played a pair of shows at Fenway Park on Sunday and Tuesday.

Boston.com reported that restaurant staff and guests said Vedder and Krasinski enjoyed dinner and drinks, with the singer sipping margaritas and the actor favoring Moscow mules. The pair posed for photos with guests and 1928 staff, and Vedder even gave one of his fans a guitar pick before departing.

Krasinski and Vedder reunited onstage at Pearl Jam’s Fenway concert on Sunday, with the actor playing a tambourine for the assembled crowd. Well, this isn’t the first time the Newton native and Vedder have hung out.

Back in 2017, guitarist Simon Townshend — younger brother of The Who’s Pete Townshend — posted a photo of himself on Facebook alongside Vedder and Krasinski following a Pearl Jam show at the London Apollo that featured Townshend on guitar.

“They were the kindest people I’ve ever met and they couldn’t have been more polite and thankful,” the staff and guests said.

“Always happy to pose with people from Boston,” Krasinski said. Vedder, who is in town for a pair of Pearl Jam shows at Fenway Park, spoke with some fans at the bar and gave them his guitar pick.
