Jaime recently launched a scathing attack on Mike Shinoda and Linkin Park since the band decided to keep touring and making new music with their new singer Emily Armstrong. He claimed that Shinoda tried to erase his father’s history from the band ‘during international suicide prevention month.’

Jamie Bennington is furious with Linkin Park

Jamie recently wrote on social media: “In 2023, Mike Shinoda claims that @linkinpark occasionally meet and discuss the band’s future. But they have nothing to say about it yet.
In September 2024, Mike Shinoda triggers a social media gimmick to announce the band’s return to the mainstream. A new album, world tour, single, LPU showcase, and band members. To include @emilyarmstrong and @colinbrittain

This led to the new drummer Colin Brittain to reply: “Bye.”

    Jamie then replied:

“Hi! You’re the first band member to respond. Thanks! It means a lot. I hope you’re enjoying the private jet. …oh. Sh*t. I’m sorry. Maybe I misinterpreted this. Are you coming to me now to tell me that you are officially quitting the band?? Man, I really appreciate that. Now you’re a true legacy. Like me! But only if you quit though. Which again, thanks for coming to me first.”

Linkin Park recently reunited after the tragic passing of Chester Bennington, in 2017. They recently released a new single titled “The Emptiness Machine” from their upcoming album From Zero which marks the band’s first release of new music in several years.

The addition of Emily Armstrong to the band garnered mixed reactions from the fans and Mike Shinoda has also addressed the same. Meanwhile, she has received support from Chester’s widow, Talinda Bennington. She seemingly approved of the band’s choice to replace Chester.

Meanwhile, during an interview with Rolling Stone , Chester’s mom Susan Eubanks claimed that the nu-metal band had previously assured her that she would be notified about any future changes should its members continue performing as a group. However, Eubanks felt “betrayed” as the band, hired Emily as Bennington’s replacement.
