Ringo Starr recently cut his fall tour short after coming down with a minor illness. The rocker and his All Starr band announced the cancellation of the final two shows on their current tour on Tuesday, September 24th.

“Ringo has come down with a cold and after consulting a doctor he was advised to cancel these two remaining shows and get rest,” a rep for Starr said in a press release.

The canceled shows were set for Tuesday night at TD Pavilion at The Mann in Philadelphia, and Wednesday night at Radio City Music Hall in New York. Ticket holders will be notified via email, and will be automatically refunded.

“As always, Ringo and the All Starrs send peace and love to their fans and hope to see them soon,” the press release concluded.

The former Beatle and his bandmates hit the road on September 7th in San Diego as part of the fall tour and had played 10 shows before Starr fell ill. His tourmates include Colin Hay, Steve Lukather, Edgar Winter, Hamish Stuart, Gregg Bissonette and Warren Ham.

On September 18th, he shared an Instagram post compiling some of his favorite moments on tour thus far.

“Just want to thank all the great audiences so far — I love you all,” he captioned the post. “Peace & love from Ringo and the boys. .”

Despite recently celebrating his 84th birthday, Starr is as busy as ever, and told PEOPLE last year that he knows age is just a number.

“Nothing makes me feel old. In my head, I’m 27,” he said. “Wisdom’s a heavy word. [Getting older] is what happens, and you try and keep yourself busy.”

He also explained why having a positive outlook on life has never been something at which he’s had to work hard.

“I never felt really down,” he said. “I mean, I have my moments, of course. But my spirits are high. That’s all I can say, really.”
