Mick Jagger Girlfriend Reacts To 44-Year Age Gap

During a new interview with The Times, Melanie Hamrick recently stated that she doesn’t worry about her 44-year age difference with Rolling Stones ‘ Mick Jagger via Rock Celebrities .

“I don’t think about it. Everyone’s going to have their opinion,” the retired ballerina shared. “If you think about others’ opinions, no matter where you are in life, you’re going to have a problem and you’re going to analyze it.”

Hamrick further added that she ignores outside opinions about her relationship, “Am I happy? Yes. Are the people in my life happy? Yes. Am I hurting anyone? No. OK, they can mind their own business.”

She met Jagger for the first time in February 2014 at a Rolling Stones concert in Tokyo. She was there with other dancers from the American Ballet Theatre, where she danced for 15 years before retiring in 2019.

Melanie also talked about her relationship with Jagger last year in June. “I’m neither here nor there,” she said about whether she had received a marriage proposal from the singer. “I wouldn’t say no,” she added.

“I know there have been lots of, ‘Are they engaged or aren’t they engaged?’ Yes, I have a commitment ring,” Hamrick also revealed. “This is my commitment ring, and that’s about as much as I’ll say.”

She also discussed traveling the world with Jagger, “It’s a lot, changing cities every three days, and because I know what it’s like to perform. We’re together, but you also need some you-time.”

“You’re performing for 60,000 people. I wasn’t performing for that many people, but I liked my me-time when I was dancing. I can say, ‘I feel like you need some you-time’ or ‘I feel like Dev and I need some me-time.’ It’s about finding the balance,” she also added.

“It’s just a fact of life. But there are boundaries I like to have,” Mick Jagger also explained about why he chose to be open about his relationship with Hamrick. “People used to post stuff, and everyone would think, whatever girl you’re standing next to… ‘Is that your new girlfriend?’ You know. But everyone knows now.”

The couple welcomed their son, Deveraux Octavian Basil, in 2016. This is her first child and Jagger’s eighth. He has kids with five different women: Karis with Marsha Hunt, Jade with Bianca Jagger, Elizabeth, Georgia May, James, and Gabriel with Jerry Hall, and Lucas with Luciana Morad Gimenez.
