Linkin Park recently lost Twitter followers but they have gained followers on Instagram.

A user on X dropped a couple of screenshots to show Linkin Park’s follower drop on the platform with the caption, “Aww I just noticed… RIP.”

It has been noted that the band has 5.8 million in the first photo and 5.7 million in the second one. Linkin Park expected more interest after the comeback, but the exact opposite happened.

However, on the contrary, there was an explosion on their Instagram. It can be seen that the band’s followers increased after they announced Emily Armstrong as their new singer.

On September 5, Linkin Park announced their return during a live-streamed event . They introduced new members Armstrong and Colin Brittain. The band also performed and released ‘ The Emptiness Machine,’ the first single from their upcoming album ‘From Zero,’ which will come out on November 15, 2024.

Some fans recently blasted the addition of Armstrong because of her ties to the Church of Scientology and support for Danny Masterson, who is a convicted rapist. Bennington’s son Jaime Bennington also said the band let down their fans with this decision.

Armstrong replied to the criticism on Instagram. She said she hasn’t spoken to Masterson since his court appearance in 2020 and that she condemned his actions. However, she did not say anything about her ties to Scientology.

Armstrong explained, “Several years ago, I was asked to support someone I considered a friend at a court appearance, and went to one early hearing as an observer. Soon after, I realized I shouldn’t have. I always try to see the good in people, and I misjudged him.”

She continued, “I have never spoken with him since. Unimaginable details emerged and he was later found guilty. To say it as clearly as possible: I do not condone abuse or violence against women, and I empathize with the victims of these crimes.”

Linkin Park’s next show is on November 3 in Paris, France. Then, they will perform in Dallas on November 8.
