Chester Bennington’s son Jaime discussed confronting Linkin Park’s surviving members at Chester’s house after he passed in 2017.
He told Bored Panda : “I remember literally everybody in the band Linkin Park came to the house.”
“I remember I got mad at them because they came to me and they were like: ‘Jaime, your dad loves you so much, you should know that, that’s all he could talk about, he was excited about your future.’
“I had to tell them like, ‘can you stop talking to me about this’ because in my mind you were all around him.
“You guys were on tour with him. For one, how did you not see it? For two, you know like, I know my dad has always struggled with things but like, one of the things he struggled with is not just his depression or his PTSD.
“It’s also how he isn’t allowed to be a dad to me because he’s always making albums and touring.”

Linkin Park is set to release their upcoming album on November 15th. The band has also announced a short world tour beginning this month. It will see six arena shows across the world between September and November this year.
The tour will kick off at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles on September 11th. Other stops include New York, Germany, London, South Korea and Colombia. However, some fans are not happy with the expensive ticket prices .
Before the band’s return, many fans speculated that Linkin Park would change their name. Rumors even circulated that the band could switch back to their old name, Xero, which was the band’s moniker in their early days. During a recent interview, Mike Shinoda explained why they didn’t change their name. He said:
“That’s to me, like, was such an important question that we obviously asked ourselves.
The main thing was that, like, in keeping, remember, I said, like, ‘we’re keeping things very loose and not defining.’ We didn’t define the band. We didn’t, we just said we were going to make music with people. That’s, that was our, MO. And as we were doing that, in the middle of the process, we were open to, like, maybe the lineup is like a moving lineup. Maybe there’s multiple vocalists. Maybe it’s a different name, like stuff like that. And then as the music came into focus, we were like, this is a this is as Linkin Park an album as we could make. Like it’s so Linkin Park that if we call it something else, then we are idiots. Like, because it would be, it would be like misrepresentation. Like, you know what I’m saying? I’d be like, be silly. And when people hear more of the album, like they will understand that.”
