Bishop Guilfoyle, Holy Trinity announce name change

BLAIR COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) — Bishop Guilfoyle Catholic High School and Holy Trinity Catholic High School have announced a name change.

Bishop Guilfoyle Catholic High School will now be called Bishop Guilfoyle Academy and Holy Trinity Catholic will now be known as Bishop Guilfoyle Academy Elementary School. This change will be effective immediately.

Officials also ask that people kindly refrain from referring to the school as BGA. Some acceptable name variations are Bishop Guilfoyle, BG, BG Academy or Bishop Guilfoyle Academy.

When referring to specific grade levels, people are asked to call it the Bishop Guilfoyle High School, Junior High School, Elementary School or Pre-School when referring to early education.

BG offers four campuses, Eldorado, Fairview, Hollidaysburg and Pleasant Valley. Anyone with questions is asked to email Lisa Georgiana at advancement@bguilfoyle.org.
