    Oklahoma Highway Patrol identifies pedestrian killed in early morning crash

    JACKSON COUNTY, Okla. ( KFDX/KJTL ) — The pedestrian killed in an early morning collision has been identified, according to Oklahoma Highway Patrol officials.

    Thirty-five-year-old Terence Allen of Altus was killed near the intersection of South Main Street and Ridgecrest Road in Altus at around 4:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, troopers confirmed.

    While the cause of the collision remains under investigation as of the publication of this story, a semi was reportedly involved.

    The investigation comes after the Altus Police Department requested assistance from OHP, according to APD Chief Tim Murphy.

    According to Murphy, multiple agencies, including Altus Fire and Rescue, EMS, and the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department, responded to the collision.
