Alys Beach named #1 ‘Southern Destination that feels like Europe’ by Southern Living

WALTON COUNTY, Fla. ( WMBB ) – Southern Living has named Aly’s Beach the #1 “Southern Destination that feels like Europe.”

Southern Living’s list included some well-known cities such as Charleston, New Orleans, and St. Augustine, however, Walton County’s own Aly’s Beach made it to the top of the list.

“While the stretch is home to a number of charming beach towns, including Grayton and Seaside, Aly’s is the one that feels most like a Mediterranean escape,” Southern Living wrote.

It is easy to get lost among the bright stucco homes and cobblestone streets of Alys Beach, which draws its unique characteristics from Caribbean and Mediterranean towns.
