California Man Arrested For Cheyenne Coin Shop Murders In 2015
A 68-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday morning in Siskiyou County, California in connection with a July 20, 2015, double homicide at a Cheyenne business. Cheyenne Police Chief Mark Francisco identified the suspect as Douglas Smith of McCloud, California. Francisco says Smith is believed to be the person who made the 911 call reporting an armed robbery at the Coin Shop. When officers arrived at the business at 515 W. Lincolnway in downtown Cheyenne they found the business owner, 67-year-old Dwight Brockman, and his friend, 76-year-old George "Doc" Manley, shot to death.

Wyoming Teen Killed in Converse County Crash
A 14-year-old Wyomingite died in a crash that happened June 23 at 8:22 p.m. in Converse County. Two others were injured. According to a Wyoming Highway Patrol crash summary, a Chevrolet Silverado was going west on WY 91 around mile marker .5 in the oncoming lane, causing a Ford traveling east to swerve. The vehicles collided head-on, forcing the Ford off-road in a driver-side leading spin. The Ford then rolled down the embankment and came to an uncontrolled stop in the upright position.

The Central Wyoming Fair and Rodeo Parade will hit downtown Casper on July 9 from 10:00 a.m. to noon for the 77th year in a row. The entry deadline is Friday, June 28. Infectious Bird Disease Identified in Casper Doves
Trichomoniasis, a concerning infectious disease affecting birds, has been identified in mourning and Eurasian collared doves in Casper. The outbreak, caused by the protozoan parasite Trichomonas gallinae, may impact doves, house finches, and pigeons.
