Wyoming Supreme Court Holding Oral Argument at Casper College
The Wyoming Supreme Court is bringing an oral argument to Casper, along with an educational event for Casper College students and the public. Usually the Wyoming Supreme Court hears the arguments on appeal at the Wyoming Supreme Court building in Cheyenne, but on September 26 it will hear one case in Casper. Janet (Jan) M. Christensen (McLean) passed away on August 31, 2024 surrounded by her family at the Wyoming Medical Center. She was 95 years old. Jan was born on November 4, 1928 in Hood River, Oregon to John McLean and Beth Bailey McLean. Growing up, she lived in Ames, Iowa, New Orleans and Chicago. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Development from Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa in 1951. She was a member of the Gamma Phi Beta sorority. Jan married James (Jim) Vernon Christensen in 1952 in Chicago, Illinois. Jan and Jim moved from Cheyenne with their four children to Casper in 1964.

Cheyenne Teens Arrested After Allegedly Shooting at Police
Two Cheyenne teens are behind bars after allegedy shooting at police in northeast Cheyenne early Thursday morning. WASHINGTON, D.C. — On Thursday, U.S. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg announced $2,827,340 in grants for seven Wyoming projects. The grants are part of $1 billion in funding through President Joe Biden’s Bipartisan Infrastructure Law for the Safe Streets and Roads for All, or SS4A, program. The funding will go directly to 354 local, regional and tribal communities across the country, including seven in Wyoming, to improve roadway safety and prevent deaths and serious injuries on America’s rural and urban roads, including some of the most dangerous in the country.
