    Author Q&A

What inspired you to write your first book?

My first book was in fulfillment of a long time desire to have my thoughts out there.

As someone who believes in strength in diversity, I was seeing the world torn apart in real time, this was before the war Russia is waging on Ukraine. I remembered thinking I wish my thoughts were out in a book prior to that. I felt it would have probably stopped the war from raging.

How did you come up with the title?

The title was the simplest task. I have a great sense of self awareness, I do not beleive in stereotypes so I feel like this title avoids people feeling they are being judged by my writing. A good example is the term “pro-life” which is really huge in American politics. My view based on definition of life is if your are prolife, you must support EVERYTHING that would allow the human life thrive. You can not just focus on fetus or fetal heartbeat without considering stringent gun laws that would make the baby enjoy life without fear when grown, social security parliatives, education scholarships and seniors programs that will guarantee all humans in any part of the world enjoys life. You can not be prolife without thinking of the state of mind of the woman who is carrying the fetus, the situations leading to the pregnancy and life during and after the child is born. In reality, by definition, those that the media call pro-life as actually the opposite. This topic has no place in politics. It is in the core of human existence decency. This is how I see it in my eyes.

Is there a message in your novel that you want readers to grasp?

The message is of love, of unity, of thinking differently in the right way, of having time for our children and imbibing the right values in them, of empowering women and not judge them based on marriage or whom they are married to alone. The book requests that you reflect on your actions and or inactions and start again to the right thing.

When it comes to who is superior or less superior, I do not beleive anyone is more superior than I am neither do I think I am more superior than anyone. Any religion whose practice is not centered around love is not serving God. We all the people should rise and make this world a better place rather than leave it in the hands of people who thrive by making us hate one another for their own selfish interests

How much of the book is realistic?

Every event mentioned in my book is realistic so I’d say 100 percent.

Name one entity that you feel supported you outside of family members.

The thing is I have many family members aside my family members ( smiles) family to me is anyone not necessarily blood related who shares in my vision and support my cause. So I have enjoyed lots of support.

Do you see writing as a career?

Not for now. However, if I do see that my books are making the right changes in the world order then count it as my only career

Do you have to travel much concerning your book(s)?

No. I do not carry much concerning my book. I travel a lot though as a tourist who just loves to move and interact with people. Some of the instances mentioned in my book were drawn from some of these trips.

    Who designed the covers?

The design was inspired by me. They eyes on the cover are real eyes: my eyes. The designer is Janice Wilcox with the Instagram handle @jartistry_

    What is your favorite quote?

This one is mine originally: "Beyond a finish line, impediments become history. Then there is another line to finish. Beyond without these lines, life is worthless; these full of impediments" Kayode Michael Arimoro.
