    Author Q&A

Is there a message in your book that you want readers to grasp?

My wish for readers of Revisiting the Depths is that they find a companion on their own journeys. I aim to offer them a sense of connection and understanding, letting them know they are not alone in facing fear, uncertainty, and personal growth. Through the experiences and lessons shared in the book, I aspire to bring them comfort, encouragement, and a renewed sense of strength. I hope readers walk away not only with comfort and encouragement, but with the belief that they, too, can confront their fears head-on. By embracing both the highs and lows, they will discover peace and fulfillment that often lie hidden in life's most challenging moments.

How much of the book is realistic?

The book is based on my real-life experiences. It is a memoir that explores my personal journey of healing, resilience, self-discovery, and transformation. While the central experiences are mine, they are presented in a way that readers can find parallels in their own lives, making the journey both personal and universal.

What was the hardest part of writing your book?

The hardest part of writing Revisiting the Depths was reliving a harrowing memory from my PADI Open Water Certification, where I knelt fifty feet underwater, stripped of my equipment, feeling vulnerable and isolated in the vast emptiness of the sea. Confronting the sensation of being utterly alone, with no instructor in sight, I had to face my deepest fears and admit my vulnerability. Through this painful process, I discovered a deeper strength. That moment underwater became a metaphor for much of what I explore in the book—how embracing fear and vulnerability can be the key to unlocking peace and personal transformation.

What has influenced you the most as a writer?

What has influenced me the most as a writer is the deeply transformative experiences of my life. Every major transition—whether marriage, motherhood, or leadership—has deepened my understanding of growth, resilience, and human connection. My travels across different countries and the work of authors like M. Scott Peck and Paulo Coelho have influenced the themes of self-discovery I explore in 'Revisiting the Depths.' At the heart of my writing is the 'observing ego,' a perspective that enables me to transform personal experiences into universal lessons.

What does being a successful author look like to you?

Success for me is about connection. If my words reach readers in their hardest moments, providing comfort or igniting growth, that's true fulfillment. Success lies in crafting narratives that transcend my personal journey, helping others feel seen, understood and empowered.

Do you have anything specific that you want to say to your readers?

To my readers, I want to say thank you. Your journey alongside mine, through the pages of my books, means more to me than I can express. Writing is a deeply personal process, but it becomes truly meaningful when it touches the lives of others. My greatest hope is that my stories resonate with you, helping you find resilience, peace, and strength on your own path. You are part of the reason I write, and for that, I'm incredibly grateful. I hope that together, through these pages, we can continue exploring and growing in resilience, peace, and strength.
