The wait will soon be over for Canyon fans of the popular white and orange burger franchise, which will also open with a chance to win free merch, according to a company news release.

The highly anticipated Whataburger will open at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 10, at 100 N. 23rd St. It will have two drive-thru lanes, digital menu boards inside and outside, and five curbside spots. A West Texas A&M University mural will also add a local flair inside the restaurant, which will be open 24 hours a day.

“I’m not sure who is more excited,” said Cynthia Rodriguez, Operating Partner. “Is it our Family Members and me, or the good folks in Canyon who have been itching to get their own Whataburger restaurant? We’ll find out once we start serving our bold, fresh flavors at this new location at 100 N. 23rd St., right across from the West Texas A&M campus.”

As part of the grand opening celebration, the first two customers in the drive-thru will win free Whataburger for a year. The next 200 customers will win free merchandise.
