In recognition of the Independence Day holiday, the City of Amarillo announced city offices will be closed on Thursday, July 4. These include City Hall, all Amarillo Public Library locations, Amarillo City Transit and the Amarillo Municipal Court.

The city's Solid Waste services schedule will be as follows:

Thursday routes will be moved to Wednesday, July 3, for commercial routes, residential routes, polycart routes and hand collection routes. Normal schedules will resume on Friday, July 5.

Brush sites and the landfill will be closed on Thursday, but all roll-offs will be serviced as scheduled. No curbside collection is scheduled for Thursday.

Ross Rogers and Comanche Trail Golf Complexes will have normal hours of operation over the holiday.
