Possible thunderstorms with rising temperatures

Good Saturday morning, everyone!

Today is starting out partly cloudy, and slightly cool with lows around 60. As the day unfolds, a partly sunny sky is expected with breezy southwest winds of 15 to 25 mph. Temperatures will respond, warming into the 80’s and low 90’s during the afternoon. Amarillo should top out near 90. Tomorrow looks to be even hotter with highs close to 95.

Regarding rain, widely scattered showers and thunderstorms will be possible early this morning, and then again later today. Tomorrow could be in line for some storms during the overnight hours. Any severe weather should be limited to sudden strong downburst winds, and pockets of small hail. Of course, always watch out for lightning!

Lastly, Monday could see the slightly below average 80’s, while Tuesday through Friday looks to top out in the 90’s.
