Center City's High Noon on the Square is winding down its season, with three more events to go for the summer. This week's downtown event will feature live music from Buster Bledsoe and a Chick-fil-A lunch.

The free, family-friendly concert series, which features music and lunch on the Potter County Courthouse lawn on Wednesdays in June and July, has been well-attended throughout the summer. Last week's event brought about 300 people to enjoy the music from Bomb City Bluegrass and food in the middle of downtown. The July 10 event was the first time that Bomb City Bluegrass has performed at High Noon on the Square.

"We are so proud to sponsor these local musicians; Amarillo has so much local talent," Beth Duke, executive director of Center City, said. "This is one place you can come and hear a great concert for free."

Bob and Jeannine Russell attended last week's High Noon on the Square and said they loved the location and being able to listen to the music at the free event.

"Just sitting out in the shade and listening to the music is awesome," Jeannine Russell said.

Former Mayor Candidate Don Collins was a first-time attendee of the event.

"My lovely lady convinced me to come out here, and this is a really nice, relaxing event with great music," Collins said. "This brings the community together, and people should come out and see what this event has to offer."

Lunches are $10, while admission to the outdoor concert is free.

The remaining scheduled dates for High Noon on the Square include:

    • July 17, Buster Bledsoe, Chick-Fil-A
    • July 24, AMA Performing Arts Center, Raising Cane’s
    • July 31, Insufficient Funds, Bubba’s 33
