AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) – Another Chance House, a non-profit focused on providing shelter, resources and case management for men who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness, will celebrate its 35th anniversary with a fundraising luncheon on Thursday.

The luncheon is set to be held on Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Polk Street Methodist Church, according to organizers, and will include a taco bar, testimonials from past and present residents, and opportunities to connect with speakers and other attendees.

“We will honor the resilience and accomplishments of the men supported by our program, emphasizing our core belief that if a man is still breathing, he deserves another chance,” said organizers with ACH in the event announcement, “Your participation will help us continue our mission and make a meaningful impact.”

As noted on its website and in previous reports, ACH was established in 1988 and has since grown to include 18 properties, with residents serving as staff and board members. ACH operates as a tiered program offering shelter, transitional and long-term living options and has given focus to veterans in recent years after contracting with the Veterans Administration.

ACH organizers said that sponsorship tables were available at seven sponsorship levels, ranging from $500 to $15,000. Individual admission tickets were made available in June for $25.

More information on ACH and its services and events can be found here.
