AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) – The Tascosa Golf Club announced that it will host the Texas Panhandle College Tennis Showcase UTR Tournament from Friday through Sunday, highlighting junior tennis talent from Texas and surrounding states to show their skills to college coaches.
According to organizers, the format will feature 32 high school sophomores through seniors from Texas and surrounding states in a verified UTR Tournament format.

“TGC is ready to put on a great event and showcase the tennis players that we have in this area to college coaches,” said Dale White, TGC Director of Racquet Sports. “Having coached in college for 15 years, and my wife Charity for over 10 years, we believe that there are junior players here who would benefit from knowing there can be a future in tennis past high school.”
Organizers said that TGC will stream and video record the matches to enable players to send match videos to other institutions. Additionally, all players will have profiles shared with college coaches virtually for future recruiting efforts.
“We need local support to promote this more to your players,” White urged local coaches. “This could be a building block for your younger players who see others participating in this event and could significantly enhance your programs and tennis in the area.”
