TxDOT Amarillo ‘Know Before You Go’ report for the week of July 22

AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — The Texas Department of Transportation Amarillo District released its “Know Before You Go” report for lane closures and detours expected during the week of July 22.

According to TxDOT, road closures and detours expected for the week include:

Monday, July 22:

• Anticipate various lane and ramp closures on westbound IH-40 over Tyler Street and Harrison Street for bridge work. The following ramps will be closed during that time:
• Southbound US 287 to westbound IH-40 entrance ramp
• Westbound IH-40 to Washington Street exit ramp
• The ramps are expected to open back up this weekend. The work is expected to be completed by Friday, August 2.

TxDOT advised drivers to be cautious and reduce speed through all work zones, and be aware of possible crews or working vehicles on or near the roadways.
