AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — Wildcat Bluff Nature Center is set to host its monthly program Toddler Tracks on Aug. 9. Toddler Tracks is for explorers ages five and under and a caregiver.

Toddler Tracks takes place on the second Friday of the month with two time slots at 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. During the monthly Toddler Tracks, Wildcat Bluff hosts a nature-themed story time, a craft or hands-on activity, and an optional nature walk on Libb’s Trail.

“Toddler Tracks is one of our most popular and most consistent programs out here at the bluff,” Ady Brady, Discovery Center Collective director of communications, said. “We normally have a really decent-sized group and it’s just super fun.”

Brady said signing up is not required for the event, it just requires attendance. She said to dress for the weather and bring a water bottle.

“We try to keep our programs early enough where it’s not too hot but you never know,” she said.

According to Brady, the goal of Wildcat Bluff and the people who founded the land for the bluff is to preserve the nature and history of the land, and they are able to achieve this goal through programs like Toddler Tracks.

“Most people don’t realize that we’re even out here,” she said. “It’s a quick three to five-mile drive down the road. There’s so much preserved here. We’re able to make that learning really accessible and also really fun. You get your hands dirty sometimes, sometimes you create something new, and sometimes you learn a fun fact for a party. So we really want to connect conservation and preservation and nature-loving with accessible programs that people will also enjoy.”

Brady said Toddler Tracks is included with a Wildcat Bluff membership, Discovery Center Collective membership, or regular admission.
