Cal Farley’s Boys Ranch hosts annual Cardboard Boat Races

AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) – Cal Farley’s Boys Ranch will host the annual Cardboard Boat Races on Friday at Boys Ranch.

According to officials, the tradition brings creativity, teamwork, and friendly competition. The event showcases the fun and ingenuity, celebrating the spirit of the community as boys, girls, and staff race their handmade cardboard boats across the water.

Cal Farley’s Boys Ranch’s mission is to support and empower youth and hosting this event will provide an opportunity to capture the excitement and joy of the races, Cal Farley officials said.

The boat races begin at 10 a.m. at Cal Farley’s Boys Ranch.
