Amarillo man killed in motorcycle wreck south of Sanford Tuesday

HUTCHINSON COUNTY, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — The Texas Department of Public Safety reports that an Amarillo man was killed in a motorcycle wreck south of Sanford in Hutchinson County on Tuesday morning.

Texas DPS said a motorcycle, driven by Gregory Gallegos, 34, of Amarillo, was driving on FM 687 over a mile south of Sanford; he failed to drive in a single lane and went off the roadway into a ditch before being ejected from the motorcycle.

Gallegos was pronounced dead at the scene by the Hutchinson County Justice of the Peace Amanda Wysong.

The crash is under investigation by the Texas Department of Public Safety.
