Oakes Post 36 Falls in Regular Season Finale to LaMoure
Oakes, ND (NewsDakota.com) – LaMoure Post 19 got an early jump on Oakes Post 36 to win 10-6. LaMoure would score 10 runs in the first 3 innings clinching their victory. The game started with LaMoure scoring 4 runs on 4 hits and 2 errors of which 2 were earned. Oakes would respond by scoring 2 runs off of a hit in their half of the first to cut the lead to 4-2. No one would score in the 2nd but LaMoure would hit around in the 3rd to get 6 runs of which only 2 would be earned runs. Oakes would be plagued by 3 errors in the inning allowing the runs. The dyke would be plugged by Jace Fyre who came in relief striking out his first batter he face off of 3 eephus pitches.

Zalesky resigns as Jimmie head men's wrestling coach
Jim Zalesky has resigned as University of Jamestown men's wrestling head coach. "Jim has been a pleasure to work with during his time at UJ," said Jimmie Director of Athletics Austin Hieb. "He brought decades of high-level experience to our department, and we appreciate all he has done during his time here. We wish him nothing but the best in his next chapter. While we're sad to see Jim leave, we're excited to find the next leader of Jimmie men's wrestling."
2024/25 NAHL Showcase Schedule Announced
Minot, ND – The Minot Minotauros 14th regular season will begin kick-off at the NAHL Showcase in Blaine, MN, with three games over four days. All 35 North American Hockey League teams will assemble in Blaine for four days of hockey in front of NCAA and professional scouts from September 25-28. In a bit of a scheduling quirk the Tauros, will start their season with a regular season game against a team that doesn’t play in the NAHL, the United States National Team Development Program’s u17s (USNTDP).

1 hurt in rear-end crash in Lake Park
LAKE PARK, Minn. (KFGO) – One person was hurt in a crash on Highway 10 in Lake Park Wednesday morning. The State Patrol says a semi truck rear-ended a pickup at 7:30 a.m. The driver of the pickup, 61-year-old David Wosick of Fargo, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was flown to Sanford Hospital in Fargo. The driver of the semi, 54-year-old Robby Sahr, of Kindred was not hurt.
