Above and beyond: Here are Webutuck's scholar athletes for 2023-24

The Mid-Hudson Athletic League recently honored its top senior student-athletes for each high school. Webutuck High School selected Amanda Intrieri and Riley Thirwall.

Amanda Intrieri

Class Rank: 2

Varsity Sports: Cross Country; Basketball; Track

Academic Honors/Extracurricular Activities: Salutatorian; National Honor Society; Student Council; Class President; High Honor Roll

Athletic Honors: Team Captain; MVP; Coach’s Award

Community Service: Helped make food bags for the ones in need; helped out with gym classes; helped with Earth Day and community days; volunteered at horses farms; helped teachers in the school

Future Plans: SUNY Delhi to major in Veterinary Science, participate in Cross Country and Indoor and Outdoor Track and Field

Riley Thirwall

GPA: 101.66

Class Rank: 1

Varsity Sports: Soccer; Basketball; Softball; Track and Field

Academic Honors/Extracurricular Activities: Valedictorian; National Honor Society President; Student Council President; Band (Clarinet); Student Government President

Athletic Honors: Team Captain for Soccer (2022-24); four Varsity Letters

Community Service: Tutoring; Food Pantry; BackPack Program

Future Plans: Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University at Daytona Beach, to major in Aerospace Engineering with Astronautic Focus
