A FATHER joked about being a crappy person just days before he gunned down his wife and turned the weapon on himself, police said.

Olin Johnson, 57, and his wife, Kerilyn Johnson, 52, were found dead at their $1.34 million home in American Fork, Utah , on Thursday afternoon in what police believe to be a murder-suicide.

Authorities believe Olin fatally shot his wife before killing himself, however, a motive for the crime has not been revealed.

Just days before the incident, Olin made a now-deleted post on Facebook sharing his love for his motorcycle.

“No matter how crappy a person I am, motorcycles always love me back,” read Olin’s post on June 18, along with pictures of him riding his bike.

“Oh and skiing . Skiing loves me too.”

Olin’s profile featured a small bio that described himself as a father to “6 great kids and one beautiful wife.”

Neighbors said the couple, who celebrated 32 years of marriage in April, were playing softball with a few other residents on the night before the shooting.

They said they didn’t notice any problems as Olin spoke about future plans, per CBS affiliate KUTV-TV .

“The family is requesting privacy as they grieve their loss. We express our most profound and sincere condolences to the family and friends of Olin and Kerilyn,” said the American Fork Police .

Olin was the owner of Simtek Modular a, “service company that makes modular panels for force-on-force training,” according to his LinkedIn .

The page says the company worked on projects with the US Border Patrol, FBI , and Utah County Sheriff’s Office.

Recent social media posts showed off the couple’s trip to Australia , where they celebrated Kerilyn’s birthday.

    ‘WILL BE MISSED’

Kerilyn Johnson was an adjunct faculty member at the Brigham Young University School of Music, where she taught several courses over the last two years.

She performed in several main stage productions and performed throughout the US , Russia , and Baltic States, during her undergraduate education.

“Currently, she does studio work locally and maintains her private studio at home, in addition to being a mother of six,” her bio read.

Gayle Lockwood, a retired voice teacher at BYU said Kerilyn was her friend and former student.

“Kerilyn was literally one of the most generous, kind, supportive people that I have ever known,” she told the outlet.

    Family GoFundMe statement

With the sudden passing of Olin and Kerilyn Lowe Johnson many are devastated and desire to show love and support to their six children as they navigate this tragedy.

It is hoped that they would not need to shoulder the financial burden of paying for funeral expenses and other unexpected costs over the coming weeks and months.

The love many have for this family is immense.

The Johnsons and Lowes need space to grieve, let’s rally support for them through this GoFundMe.

All donations given here will go directly to the Johnson children for any expenses surrounding the passing of their parents.

My name is Rebecca Oden and our families have been interlaced with Kerilyn and Olin Johnson for over 30 years.

We will be using the funds raised on this account for the benefit of the Johnson children as they make funeral preparations.

The funds will be given directly to the children.

Thank you so much for your love and support at this time.

“She is a light that will be missed in the world,” she said.

Family created a GoFundMe page to raise money for the Johnson’s children and for funeral costs.

“With the sudden passing of Olin and Kerilyn Lowe Johnson many are devastated and desire to show love and support to their six children as they navigate this tragedy,” the page read.

“It is hoped that they would not need to shoulder the financial burden of paying for funeral expenses and other unexpected costs over the coming weeks and months.”

Lockwood said she hopes people continue to think and pray for the Johnson children.

“These children are going to need a lot of love and support for a long time to come,” she said.
