Waking up at the crack of dawn only to face a delayed flight is a traveler’s nightmare, especially when early flights are often paired with limited food options and disrupted sleep schedules.

To help travelers navigate this challenge, Upgraded Points has identified the best and worst U.S. airports for early morning and late-night flights.

Upgraded Points analyzed data from the Bureau of Transportation Statistics, focusing on the 50 busiest U.S. airports. They examined the percentage of flights departing before 8 a.m. and after 8 p.m., including the frequency and average duration of delays. "Choosing flights outside of peak hours, such as early mornings or late nights, can enhance your travel experience," said Alex Miller, founder of Upgraded Points. "These off-peak times often mean fewer crowds, shorter security lines, and generally lower costs.

Additionally, flights at these times tend to experience fewer delays, making your travel plans more reliable."
