KFC expands $5 value menu: See what's being offered

KFC announced Monday that it is expanding its Taste of KFC menu with a selection of new $5 deals, joining the growing trend among fast food chains to offer value-focused menu items.

This move comes as many popular fast food brands, including McDonald’s, Taco Bell, Burger King, Wendy’s, and Jimmy John’s, have introduced affordable meal options to attract customers amid rising food prices.

Effective Monday, August 12, the updated Taste of KFC menu will feature three enticing $5 offers:

- KFC Chicken Nuggets: Eight hand-breaded chicken nuggets made with KFC’s original recipe, accompanied by secret recipe fries and your choice of two dipping sauces.

- Famous Bowl with KFC Chicken Nuggets: A fresh-to-order bowl starting with a base of creamy mashed potatoes and sweet corn, topped with KFC’s 100% white meat chicken nuggets, smothered in home-style gravy, and finished with three types of shredded cheese.

- Two-Piece Drum & Thigh: A classic combo of two pieces of fried chicken (drumstick and thigh), served with creamy mashed potatoes and gravy, plus a buttery biscuit.

In addition to these new $5 deals, KFC will continue offering its "$10 Tuesdays" special, which includes a bucket of eight drumsticks and thighs for $10.

The chain also provides a daily $20 Family Deal that features six pieces of chicken, including two drumsticks, two thighs, one breast, and one wing, along with four sides of your choice and four buttery biscuits.

Nick Chavez, Chief Marketing Officer at KFC U.S., highlighted the brand's commitment to delivering value.

“As customers seek more value from their favorite brands, we’re excited to expand our Taste of KFC lineup with popular items like our nuggets and Famous Bowls, each priced at just $5,” Chavez said in a statement.

KFC is also offering a variety of digital-exclusive deals through its app and website at participating locations:

- 40-Piece Saucy Nuggets Party Pack: Four flavors of Saucy Nuggets (including Honey Garlic, Chipotle Ranch, Mango Habanero, Korean BBQ, and Honey BBQ) for $19.99.

- Sandwich + Nuggets Meal for Two: Choose two sandwiches (classic or spicy) and get a 10-piece order of KFC’s white meat nuggets, along with two sides and two medium drinks, all for $15.

- Five-Piece Chicken on the Bone Meal for Two: Enjoy five pieces of chicken, two sides, two medium drinks, and two buttery biscuits for $15.

- 50% Off Chicken Sandwiches: Get 50% off any KFC Chicken Sandwich—Classic, Spicy, or the new Saucy Sandwich—when ordering through KFC.com or the KFC app.
