On Tuesday, DoorDash unveiled a new benefit for its DashPass delivery membership in the U.S., adding Max streaming to its offerings.

This marks the first time DoorDash has included a benefit that extends beyond its own platform for DashPass Annual Plan members.

The new perk provides access to the ad-supported version of Max, the streaming service from Warner Bros. Discovery known for hits like "House of the Dragon," "The Last of Us," and "White Lotus," at no extra charge for those with the $96 annual DashPass subscription.

Alternatively, members can choose to upgrade to Max’s Ad-Free plan for $10.99 per month, a significant discount from the usual $16.99 monthly rate.

DoorDash’s Chief Operating Officer, Prabir Adarkar, highlighted the value of this new benefit, stating, "Since launching DashPass six years ago, our goal has always been to deliver increasing value and savings to members.

Streaming and delivery go hand in hand, and we’re thrilled to launch this coveted benefit for DashPass Annual Plan members."

The company emphasized that this addition represents a $240 value for the annual subscription, appealing to budget-conscious consumers by offering savings on both streaming and delivery services.

This move follows a similar trend seen with other companies. For instance, Instacart introduced a streaming perk with Peacock for its Instacart+ members last November.

Additionally, Verizon began offering a combination of ad-supported Netflix and Max to its myPlan customers as a $10 monthly add-on last December.

Streaming bundles have become increasingly popular, with Disney and Warner Bros. Discovery recently launching a combined offering of Disney+, Hulu, and Max.

Customers can choose between ad-supported or ad-free tiers, priced at $16.99 and $29.99 per month, respectively.

Overall, these partnerships and bundling options reflect a growing trend of integrating streaming services with other memberships and subscriptions, enhancing value and convenience for consumers.
