The results of an internal investigation carried out by the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office that led to the dismissal of two Westlake Police officers have been released.

Chris Clark and Michael Boudreaux were fired after the Westlake City Council went into executive session during its Aug. 15 meeting. When the meeting ended, Westlake Police Chief Wilrye said the officers were fired after a CPSO investigation.

“These accusations not only violate our policy, but also go against what we at the Westlake Police Department stand for,” Wilrye said.

Later that week, a member of the CPSO said the investigation was not criminal-related.

According to a report obtained from the CPSO from another news media and social media, violations include insubordination, harassment and conduct unbecoming.

Two allegations were listed as using a racist term and referring to the chief as a pedophile. The internal affairs investigation substantiated that some of the allegations against the officers occurred and complaints from other officers about the two men who were fired were substantiated.

Clark and Boudreaux refused a polygraph, according to notes from the investigating officer.
