Post Malone has officially been in the country music world for less than a year. However, many of the genre’s biggest names are already accepting him with open arms. His forthcoming genre debut has a star-studded list of features. Additionally, he has shared the stage with Dwight Yoakam, HARDY, Morgan Wallen, and other stars. Earlier today (July 31), Brad Paisley made Malone an offer that many country singers wait years to hear.

Earlier today, the Grand Ole Opry shared a video of Paisley delivering a “special message” to the country newcomer. “Hey Post, Brad here. So, what I’m about to ask is going to mean a lot to you, I think,” he began. “Knowing you and knowing the respect you have for country music and this journey you’re embarking on now as a hillbilly singer, which is gonna be massive and remarkable and amazing for both country music, and I think you. Would you like to play the Opry?” Paisley added. “Come play it with me in August.”

Paisley continued, adding, “Total invite and it’s going to be the first of many appearances, I think, from you. Come experience what it’s like to play the show that started it all. You and I can jam together. A lot of your friends will be there. We’re going to have a blast.”

It makes sense for Paisley to be the one to invite Posty to the Opry. After all, he was one of the first country artists to publicly accept him into the fold.

Post Malone Made Waves with a Brad Paisley Cover

Post Malone made some waves in 2021 when he performed at Matthey McConaughey’s We’re Texas virtual benefit concert. Backed by Dwight Yoakam’s band, Malone performed two country songs. One was “You Can Have the Crown” by Sturgill Simpson. The other was “I’m Gonna Miss Her (The Fishin’ Song)” by Brad Paisley.

Paisley praised Malone’s cover saying it was better than his version. “It’s always humbling when another artist does your song better than you,” he wrote when sharing a clip of the cover on social media. He also added “I write songs for Post Malone” to his social media bios.

WHY? He's not country, and shouldn't be inducted.
