Having released three studio albums, Lauren Alaina got her start in music when she appeared on season 10 of American Idol. Hoping to become the next American Idol, the singer dominated the competition as she found herself in the final two. Sadly, her time ended on the show as she was the runner-up. But not letting the loss get her down, she released her debut album, Wildflower, that same year. And continuing to expand her stardom in country music, the singer recently shared a throwback performance that showcased her love for music and the unbreakable bond between father and daughter.
Back in July, Alaina shared the heartbreaking news that her father, J.J. Suddeth, passed away. At the time, the singer canceled a string of appearances on Jason Aldean’s Highway Desperado Tour. She shared a post with fans, writing, “We lost my daddy last night, and I really don’t have words yet.” Canceling the shows, she added, “I am going home to be with my family. Thank you for your prayers and understanding.” And yesterday, Alaina honored her father with a video of the two singing Chris Tomlin’s “How Great Is Our God.”

Gaining over 40,000 likes, fans rushed to the comments to offer their love and support for the country singer. “That must have been so hard but you made your daddy proud.” One comment read, “Beautiful. I know that had to have been the hardest thing you have ever done but I know your daddy is so proud of you. Prayers for you and your family.”
As for Alaina, she captioned her post, admitting “I know you’re signing with angels and rejoicing His name. I’ll miss you forever Daddy. Your little turd loves you so much.”

Lauren Alaina Thanks Fans And Jesus For Their Love And Strength
At the time of his passing, Alaina refrained from sharing details surrounding her father’s passing. But she did take a moment to thank fans for their continued support. “Thank you. I can’t think of much else to say right now other than thank you. Thank you to everyone who has checked on me and continued to show up for me. Thank you to Jason Aldean and Brittany Aldean and your team for treating me like family.”
While thanking fans and even the Aldean family, Alaina ended her post, insisting, “Most of all thank you Jesus for the unconditional love and strength from the Kingdom of God surrounding all of us right now as we navigate this pain and sorrow.”
