Sierra Ferrell brought her Trail of Flowers to the NPR Tiny Desk, performing her Americana hits surrounded by flowers on every surface. She began with the song “I Could Drive You Crazy,” playing the fiddle along with her band of identically-dressed boys. The concert, an intimate treat for the NPR office, showcased her unique vocal prowess.

Ferrell decorated the Tiny Desk office with fake flowers, evoking her recent album, Trail of Flowers. She kicked off another leg of her Shoot for the Moon Tour for the album on August 10 with a show in Vancouver, then traveled to Seattle on August 11 before playing a show in Portland on August 12. Tonight, August 14, she’ll take the stage in Boise, Idaho before making stops in Utah, Colorado, New Mexico, Texas, and many more.

Trading her fiddle for an acoustic guitar, Ferrell then launched into another song from the new album, “Dollar Bill Bar.” She played the 2021 hit “In Dreams,” then concluded with the lilting “American Dreaming.” Her voice filled the office with its warmth and warble, letting her signature sound find the spotlight without the hindrance of over-production or instrumentation.

Post Malone to Release New Song with Sierra Ferrell, Previously Performed at His One-Night-Only Nashville Show

Post Malone is getting closer and closer to the release of his new country album, F-1 Trillion, and Sierra Ferrell is helping him along. The two collaborated on the song “Never Love You Again” from the album, which will drop on Friday, August 16. They previously performed the new tune at Post’s one-night-only show in Nashville.

While Ferrell was originally supposed to join Post Malone at the ACM Awards, where he debuted the song, she unfortunately couldn’t make it. However, she rectified that by showing up to his Nashville showcase and bringing the house down.

The two performed an electric rendition of June and Johnny Cash’s “Jackson,” where their vocals meshed beautifully in their harmonies. Their chemistry was unmistakable, and they played well off each other for “Never Love You Again.” With the unique showing at the Nashville gig, it’ll be interesting to hear how the studio version of the song turned out.
