    Listen to Previously Unheard Foreigner Song “Turning Back the Time,” Featuring Original Frontman Lou Gramm

    We now officially know what the “very special announcementForeigner has been teasing on its social media pages is! The band has debuted a previously unheard song called “Turning Back the Time” that also will be featured on an upcoming hits compilation of the same name.

    A post on Foreigner’s socials announced that the Turning Back the Time album will be released on October 4. It also notes that the compilation celebrates the band’s induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, which will take place on October 19.

    “Turning Back the Time” was originally recorded in 1996 and features original frontman Lou Gramm and founding guitarist and band leader Mick Jones. The song is available now via streaming services, and you also can check it out on YouTube.

    “Turning Back the Time” features Gramm reminiscing about how thrilling it was seeing The Beatles on television for the first time. He also sings about wanting to recapture that feeling, which inspired him to want to be in a rock band.

    In addition to the title track, the Turning Back the Time album boasts a career-spanning selection of Foreigner hits and fan favorites. The 18-track collection also includes “Feels Like the First Time,” “Cold as Ice,” “Hot Blooded,” “Double Vision,” “Head Games,” “Urgent,” “Waiting for a Girl Like You,” “Juke Box Hero,” and “I Want to Know What Love Is.”

    Turning Back the Time can be pre-ordered now. It’s available on CD, as a two-LP vinyl set, and via digital formats.

    About Foreigner’s Rock Hall Induction

    As previously reported, Foreigner is among the acts that will be inducted into the Rock Hall this year in the Performer category. The other 2024 inductees in the category include Ozzy Osbourne, Peter Frampton, Cher, Kool & the Gang, Dave Matthews Band, Mary J. Blige, and A Tribe Called Quest. This year’s ceremony will take place on October 19 at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland.

    The event will stream live on Disney+. A highlights special will air on ABC at a later date, and will be available on Hulu the next day.

    About Foreigner’s 2024 Tour Plans

    Foreigner currently is in the middle of a co-headlining tour with Styx dubbed The Renegades & Juke Box Heroes Tour. The outing, which features John Waite as the support act, runs through a September 20 concert in Memphis. The next scheduled show takes place August 20 in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

    After the current outing wraps up, Foreigner will play a series of fall headlining shows. The band’s 2024 itinerary winds down with a seven-date Las Vegas residency at The Venetian theater, scheduled from October 25 through November 8.
