Embracing country music, Krystal Keith appeared to follow in her father’s footsteps. Growing up with Toby Keith as a father, Krystal watched as he took stage after stage, entertaining fans and troops all over the world. And in 2013, Krystal decided to make her debut in country music with the album Whiskey & Lace. Although it has been over a decade since its release, Krystal recently shared a heartfelt message surrounding the album and how her late father helped bring the songs to life.

Sharing some easter eggs about her album, Krystal decided to upload the song “Beautiful Weakness” to Instagram. She wrote in the caption, “Not many people know, but my dad produced AND made a cameo on my debut album and it’s one of my most prized possessions because of the work we did together to bring it to life. I’m so lucky to get to listen to our voices together for eternity. And as luck would have it, listening to it is exactly that, a beautiful weakness for me.”

Besides being produced by her father, Keith apparently made a cameo on the album featuring the hit song “Daddy Dance With Me.” While gaining praise for the song, it quickly became a favorite during weddings.

Krystal Keith Insists She Will “Forever Honor” Toby Keith

Sadly, after a long career in country music, Keith passed away back in February 2024 at the age of 62. Battling stomach cancer for some time, the singer continued to support country music and the new wave of talented singers.

At the time of Keith’s death, Krystal shared a collage of pictures showcasing just the kind of man her father was. She wrote, “I will forever honor him. The pain is so unbelievably deep and it feels like I have a literal broken heart but I know that it wouldn’t hurt so bad if we didn’t love him and get to be loved so deeply by him. He never made me wonder if he would be there for me. He made sure to live with Jesus so he could go with Jesus. Jesus taking him home is the cherry on top of the life we got to live with him.”
