While spending over 50 years on the stage, Aerosmith announced their retirement after singer Steven Tyler suffered a fractured larynx. Happening back in September 2023, the band hoped to celebrate their history with one last farewell tour. Although Tyler focused on his recovery, the group shared the heartbreaking news that the singer could not recover. While fans expressed their love for Aerosmith, the Black Crowes prepared to travel with the band on their last tour. But now with Tyler retired, it appears the Black Crowes are kicking off a tour of their own.

Sharing the announcement on Instagram, the Black Crowes are heading on the road with a string of shows kicking off on September 27. “The Bastards Are Back!! Announcing NEW dates added to The Happiness Bastards Tour (The Reprise) this fall! We’re excited to be able to come play in more cities in 2024.”

Given some insight surrounding the canceled tour, the Black Crowes added, “Due to the cancellation of the Aerosmith Tour, we also had to move a few of the previously announced show dates and unfortunately have to cancel the Tucson, Wanatchee and Verona shows. Original tickets for all the rescheduled dates will be honored at the new shows.”

Gaining thousands of likes, fans thanked the band for trying to make the best out of the situation. “Thank you- super bummed about Aerosmith but sooo happy your coming to OH.” One fan continued, “Oh Yeaaaaah-Thx for getting us Clevelanders back on the calendar with northfield additional!.”

The Black Crowes Discuss New Album

Besides heading out on the road, the Black Crowes celebrated the release of their newest album Happiness Bastards back in March. Their first album in nearly 15 years, Chris Robinson explained, “Happiness Bastards is our love letter to rock ‘n’ roll. Rich and I are always writing and creating music; that has never stopped for us, and it is always where we find harmony together. This record represents that.”

His brother, Rich Robison, added his thoughts, noting, “This album is a continuation of our story as a band. Our years of experience writing and making music and touring the world are represented in this record, and we were brilliantly guided by one of the best producers in the business, Jay Joyce. I am incredibly proud of what we put together.”
