Having created a rich career in the music industry, Heart looked to celebrate the band’s years on stage with the Royal Flush Tour. With fans excited to see the band on tour for the first time in several years, Ann Wilson and Nancy Wilson prepared to hit the road with shows running until September. But the tour ended up paused due to Ann having health problems. Already playing 20 shows at the time, fans anxiously waited for an update about the tour. And thankfully, Nancy recently revealed when they should be hitting the road once again.

Speaking with Ultimate Classic Rock’s Matt Wardlaw, Nancy opened up about her excitement to return to the stage. She revealed, “We did almost 20 shows on the Heart tour this [past] year. We’re coming back out in February — we’re rescheduling [the shows and] they’re about to be announced.” Taking the rest of the year to focus on the upcoming tour, Nancy promised she wanted nothing more than to get back to performing. “Going out on the stage again with my sister and with these great players, just kick ass players, was really uplifting. Really satisfying, super exciting, fulfilling.”

Ann And Nancy Wilson Ready To Get Back To Performing

Although not hitting the road until February, fans can watch Nancy on a female edition of Rock and Roll Fantasy Camp. Featuring stars like Nita Strauss, Sheila E. and Lita Ford, the event is scheduled to kick off on December 5 in Los Angeles, California.

As for Ann, she revealed the reason Heart needed to postpone the tour. Not wanting to leave fans in the dark, she admitted, “I underwent an operation to remove something that, as it turns out, was cancerous. The operation was successful and I’m feeling great but my doctors are now advising me to undergo a course of preventive chemotherapy and I’ve decided to do it. And so my doctors are instructing me to take the rest of the year away from the stage in order to fully recover.”

With Ann’s surgery a success and Nancy announcing their return to the stage, Heart fans have only a few months before the legendary band is back under the spotlight.
