While performing as a teenager, Tracy Lawrence didn’t break into country music until the early 1990s. When able to grab the spotlight, the country singer produced a promising career with songs like “Can’t Break It to My Heart” and “Texas Tornado.” He even won several awards from the Country Music Association and the Academy of Country Music. Continuing to travel the country, entertaining his fans, the country singer recently watched as his concert was canceled over production issues.

Scheduled to perform in Michigan on Friday, August 23rd, fans traveled to watch Lawrence on stage. But according to Country Boots & Bands, the concert was canceled at the last minute due to production issues. “Due to production issues the Tracy Lawrence concert scheduled for tonight at the Jackson Country Fairgrounds is unfortunately cancelled. We will be reaching out to ticket holders to begin processing refunds. Fans, we are sincerely sorry.”

Although more than willing to give refunds, some fans expressed their disappointment surrounding the cancellation. “What are the issues? Cancelled the day of. Wow. My wife and I bought these tickets months ago. Very disappointed.” Another person added, “Sucks bought tickets months ago to go see one of my favorite artists and date night with my wife. Hopefully they reschedule or there’s another show around here.”

The Time Tracy Lawrence Survived Getting Shot

Not all fans were upset at the concert being canceled or Lawrence. “Country Boots & Bands is the real deal, it sucks when shit happens that is out of your control. Just use these moments as stepping stones to go even further. Much love and Niko Moon was fire last weekend and everyone had a blast. Lots of people got your back.”

While fans remember Lawrence for his contributions to music, the country singer once survived getting shot four times. Back in 1991, the singer just finished recording his debut album Sticks and Stones when he and a friend were surrounded by three men. Robbing Lawrence and his friend, the men forced them to walk towards a hotel. That was when the country star had enough and fought back.

Although getting shot, the muggers ran from the area. Speaking about the ordeal, Lawrence insisted, “I decided I’d rather go down fighting. The bullet that’s still in my hip missed a main artery by a tenth of a millimeter. If it had severed, I would have bled to death in three minutes. I’m lucky to be alive. I had nightmares about it for a long time.”
