Tyler Hubbard played the largest entertainment venues in the world as half of Florida Georgia Line.

After the duo went their separate ways, Hubbard started over again. He went from arena headliner to opening act. The Georgia native watched his debut solo single “5 Foot 9” slowly climb and eventually top the Billboard Country Airplay charts in 2022. Now, he’s embarking on a solo headlining tour.

Hubbard isn’t anchoring arena shows just yet, but his Strong World Tour will route him through the United States, Canada, and Australia before wrapping at Nashville’s famed Ryman Auditorium.

“I’ve been rehearsing all last week getting a new show put together,” Hubbard told American Songwriter. “I’m really excited about how it’s coming together. I’m excited about playing these clubs and theaters that I came up in the first time.”

Hubbard will launch his Strong World Tour on September 6 at 8 Seconds Saloon in Indianapolis, Indiana. Hubbard, who just wrapped a run of shows with Kane Brown, can feel the energy and connection building with his fan base. He’s confident they are enjoying his recent album Strong, which Hubbard released this spring.

Tyler Hubbard Says Going Solo Has Re-Energized His Creativity

He also recently released his Apple Music Nashville Sessions, a three-song EP that consists of Hubbard’s reimagined version of The Weeknd’s “Blinding Lights,” “Turn” from ‘Strong’ and “Me For Me” from his debut album. Fans can hear the EP on Apple Music.

“Especially in this season of my life, I’m having a lot of fun with it,” Hubbard said of his new career. “It’s really re-energized me and my creativity. Ultimately, I’m a songwriter at heart, first and foremost, and so that kind of feeds the beast. And I love what I do so much.”

Hubbard said his passion for songwriting and his recent solo status have made releasing new music more regularly easier. More music allows him to connect with fans on many different levels. The system works together to feed his solo headlining tour. The highlight, Hubbard said, will be headlining Ryman Auditorium.

“We’re wrapping up in my hometown at the Ryman,” he said. “I think that’s what I’m most excited for the whole tour, to be able to end the tour in my hometown at the Ryman. It holds such a special place in my heart already. It’s such a special venue with so much heart. Not just anybody gets to run the Ryman.”
