    Watch Toby Keith’s Final Recording Session in Never-Before-Seen Footage

    Tonight (August 23), fans will finally get to see Toby Keith: American Icon in full. Recorded in late July at Bridgestone Arena, the tribute concert featured some of the biggest names in country music. Ashley McBryde, Lainey Wilson, Clay Walker, and many more came to perform some of Keith’s biggest hits in his honor. However one of the night’s biggest moments was the unveiling of never-before-seen studio footage from TK’s final recording session.

    The last song Keith recorded was a rendition of Joe Diffie’s “Ships That Don’t Come In.” Fans can find the song on HARDY’s latest HIXTAPE release titled DIfftape. Through an agreement with the Diffie family, HARDY was able to create a tribute collection that the late hitmaker’s voice alongside those singing in his honor.     Toby Keith: American Icon Airs Tonight

    Toby Keith: American Icon airs tonight on NBC. The two-hour tribute special starts at 9 Eastern Time. Those who aren’t able to tune in and watch the show tonight are in luck. It will be available to stream on Peacock starting tomorrow (August 29).

    The tribute event had a lineup packed with Nashville A-listers and some other special guests. For instance, Brett Favre shared fond memories of Keith. However, one of the biggest moments of the night came when Krystal Keith, Toby’s daughter took the stage to perform “Don’t Let the Old Man In” to honor her father.

    A portion of the proceeds from ticket sales for the tribute event went to benefit two charities that were close to Keith’s heart. Some of the money went to the Toby Keith Foundation to help fund the OK Kids Korral. Additionally, some of the proceeds went to the Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt.
